Our Local Patron
We are delighted to welcome our first local patron Tim Richmond MBE, TD, DL. Here is an excerpt from an article in the Spring/Summer 2011 issue of our Focus Newsletter.
"I am delighted and greatly honoured that the Trustees of the Hospice have invited me to become its local patron."
"I understand the vital support that the Hospice provides to so many people and its importance, but you cannot beat experience and so I am really looking forward to getting about and meeting everyone."
Tim Richmond MBE, TD, DL
History of the Hospice
"We opened in 1980 with £3000 in the bank, no full time staff and much work to be done. Convincing the medical world and raising the necessary money to keep going were the predominant activities of the time. The generousity of the people of Nottingham and the hard work of so many have enabled the Hospice to grow into the success it is today". Bernard Brady
