Annual Christmas Covers Party was a sell out raising almost £1.5k for Notts Hospice
Promoters Damn You - Chris Summerlin, John Simson and Neil Johnson have done it again... and organised another hugely successful Annual Christmas Covers Party.

The 10th Annual Christmas Covers Party: On stage John Gilbert with Guilty Parents
The 10th Annual Christmas Covers Party organised by promoters Damn You (Chris Summerlin, John Simson and Neil Johnson) was a sell out and we were lucky enough to be their chosen charity of 2011. The event was a fabulous success and raised just under £1.5k for Nottinghamshire Hospice.
In an interview with LeftLion's Paul Klotschkow, Chris from promoters 'Damn You' talks about why they organise an annual Covers Gig for charity, explaining it's like "an office party for Nottingham Bands" and "a chance to unwind at the end of the year". Chris adds "it’s good to see otherwise serious music types doing something silly for once. The standards are always really high as well, people really raise their game for it so it’s only ever a shambles in a good way.''
We are delighted that this music event that encourages Nottingham bands to be a bit 'silly' has raised such a fantastic amount of money which will help fund vital services at the hospice. We are also really pleased that 'Damn You' have offered to raise money for us again this year via the 2012 Christmas Covers Party and that they are looking for a bigger venue given the success of this year's event!
