Fab Fundraisers
There are many people who support us in many different ways, such as undertaking challenges or organising and hosting events to raise funds for the Hospice.

 | Oct'09: Midnight Memory Walk - Trent Valley Lodge No. 10087. Henry Struzik, Ken Collishaw and Phil Hatherley (Walker number’s 001, 002 ,003, and 004) took part in the 2009 Midnight Memory Walk. Pete Spence's employer Toyota also donated £250. We were delighted to receive a cheque for £ 1,554 plus an additional £168.20. |
 | August 09: Peter Lyons' Lands End to John O'Groats Cycling Trip. Peter, a lecturer from Nottingham Trent University raised £2000 from a sponsored bike ride. What a fantastic achievement! We are extremely sorry for your brother-in-law, who was unable to complete the journey, but are glad to hear that he is recovering. Read More... |
 | August '09: South Notts Flower Club Summer Fair: The South Notts Flower Club raised £1000 from their Summer Fair in August. |
 | Nottingham No. 5 Branch of the Overseas Buffaloes Association: Jan Fretwell, of the Nottingham No. 5 Branch of the Overseas Buffaloes Association raised £2,500 from a variety of fundraising events throughout the year. |
 | July '09: Nottingham Concert Band. The band donated £125 earlier this year. A further £208.52 was collected by Nottinghamshire Hospice volunteers as the band performed at West Bridgford Proms in the Park in July. |
 | February '09: Calverton Theatre Group. £236.57 was raised from their Pantomime in February. |
 | The University of Nottingham Student Union: £200.35 was raised from a book sale. |
 | 1st & 2nd Gedling Rainbows, Brownies and Guides: £242.40 was raised from a Tombola stall at the Gedling Gala. Well done girls!! |
 | April 09: Anna Burrows Curry Lunch. A huge thank you to Anna Burrows who once again organised one of her twice yearly Curry Lunches at The Laguna restaurant on Sunday 5th April. A big thank you also to Tony (the proprietor of the Laguna) and everyone that supported the event which raised an amazing £1,450. |
 | December '08: Masonic Ladies. Joan Burrows (Secretary) and Janet Platt (Chairperson) of The Masonic Ladies Luncheon Club, presented a cheque for £300 to Kate Purdue, our Community Fundraiser. They heard about the Hospice Hopes Appeal and decided to donate some of their charity funds to us this year. Thank you very much for your support, ladies! |
 | December '08: Freemasons Grand Charity. Provincial Grand Master, Bro. Robin K. Wilson, presenting cheques to 3 local hospices. Mo Beeres received £1000 on behalf of Nottinghamshire Hospice. Many thanks to the Masons for their continued support. |
 | August '08: An intrepid team of skydivers from Fraser Brown. Thank you to Andrew Whitmore, Nick Taylor, William Cursham, Jamie Hemingray, John Tansur, Georgina Drain, Becca Soar and Heidi Feist who went skydiving in aid of the Hospice. What brave fundraisers! |
 | Oct'07: Friends of the Hospice. Mark Dermody, Ruth Francis, Pat Williams and Sheila Brotherhood have raised £909.79 for the Hospice. They held an open day selling homemade items and held a raffle with prizes they had acquired from local businesses. They raised £709.79 and Sainsbury’s (Arnold) donated a further £200. Thank you so much for all your hard work! |
 | Harley Davidson Sherwood Chapter present Maureen Osborne with a cheque for £2000 for Hospice funds. |
 | Maureen and Mo recently visited Nabarro Court in Calverton to collect £660 raised by the residents and their families and friends. "We are so grateful for the money that Nabarro Court raised; they have a huge amount of enthusiasm." |
 | Lorraine Munn did a sky dive to raise funds for the Hospice. Lorraine really enjoyed the experience and raised valuable funds at the same time. What a brave lady! |
 | The Bob Wilson Swing Band were the star attraction at a charity concert at The Fiveways Hotel, Sherwood, which raised £700 for Nottinghamshire Hospice. The event was organised by Sandra Hudson, a Daycare volunteer at the Hospice. |
