Professional Services Provided

As well as offering a comfortable, superbly equipped non-hospitalised environment, Daycare provides a range of services.

Nursing Support - The Daycare Manager leads a team of very experienced Registered Nurses and Palliative Nursing Assistants who provide high quality nursing care. This can include wound care, bathing, Jacuzzi bathing, emotional support, welfare rights advice and liaison with other professionals.

Medical Support - The Hospice Medical Advisor assesses and monitors the health and well-being of people in Daycare, offering support and a valuable link with GPs and hospital staff.

Complementary Therapy - The Complementary Therapies Co-ordinator and the team of qualified volunteers, provide a wide range of therapies including massage, aromatherapy, reflexology and reiki.

Spiritual and Emotional Support - Spirituality is acknowledged at the Hospice and we try to meet individuals' spiritual needs. Support for specific faiths can be arranged. A Chaplain attends regularly to provide short non-denominational services or one-to-one support. Additionally, counselling is available to help people with their emotional adjustment to illnesses, as well as any other factors affecting their psychological wellbeing.
