Brookfields Garden Centre
We are really thrilled that Brookfield’s Garden Centre chose Nottinghamshire Hospice as their charity of the year during 2014/2015. They raised a fantastic total of £6,800 through various fundraising initiatives and gifts in kind which have included a donation of pots, pansies and compost for our patients to have a lovely time decorating pots and potting plants to take home, or for their windowsills and they also welcomed patients on trips out to the garden centre as well.
Further donations of Christmas trees and Christmas merchandise worth over £4,600 were sold in our shops. Gift Buyer and Marketing Manager Julie Dachey told us, “It has been a pleasure supporting Nottinghamshire Hospice and we wish them continued success with all their fundraising in support of a wonderful job.” Brookfield’s kind donations will pay for Hospice at Home nurses to provide overnight care for a night for 24 patients who have life-limiting and terminal illnesses in their own home.
