Christmas Fundraising Ideas for Your Workplace
Do something truly wonderful and help your local hospice give the greatest gift of all this Christmas.
All through the festive period our Hospice Night Support team will be on call ready to provide essential overnight care to people with life-limiting illnesses. Our team will ensure poorly people can continue to be cared for in their own home, surrounded by those who are important to them and preventing a crisis admission to hospital at Christmas time.
This Christmas, we need your help to to ensure that more people with terminal illnesses are able to spend Christmas at home with their families and have time together for those cherished festive moments.
Great – count us in! What can we do to help?
If you’re looking for office fundraising ideas you’re in the right place. Here are a few ways you can raise money for charity in your workplace this Christmas:
Download our Christmas card poster
Here’s the trick:
- Download our Christmas messages poster
- Print it out and stick it on your office or staffroom noticeboard with a tin, pot or plastic wallet for collecting donations
- Write your Christmas message on one of the stars
- Leave a donation to the hospice with all the pennies you’ve saved by not buying Christmas cards
If you’d like a Nottinghamshire Hospice branded collection tin to place with the poster for collecting donations, or you’d like us to send you a printed A3 poster, just give us a call on 0115 910 1008 ext 205 or email us on email@example.com
Host a range of fundraising activities every Friday in December, such as:
- Bake sales
- Christmas jumper days
- Office challenges (you could ban a word/phrase and anyone who says it has to pop a donation in the pot!)
- Donations for the tea round
The Great Christmas Bake-Off
Bring your office bakers together, separate the soggy bottoms from the showstoppers, and vote for your Star Baker at the end of it all. The cakes can then be sliced up and sold for donations, spreading Festive cheer in your office and beyond!
Get everyone in the Christmas spirit by organising a festive raffle at work. Create a hamper full or goodies or contact surrounding businesses for support with prizes (we may be able to help too, so get in touch!). Why not donate an extra full day of leave, half a day of leave or maybe just an early finish on a Friday to motivate your colleagues to take part.
Light Up a Night
We’re inviting businesses and others to turn our historic cupola tower into a beacon of hope that will shine a light across the city every night in December.
Whether it be a family member, colleague, or friend, it provides a beautiful opportunity to come together and remember those we love. You can light up the night by donating £350 – the cost of providing a nurse to care for a patient overnight in their own home.
In recognition of your donation, we will light the tower at our hospice on Woodborough Road to remind people across the community that our nurses are available around the clock and we’ll also feature your company on our social media channels and our website.
To light up a night, please call us on 0115 910 1008 ext 205 or email firstname.lastname@example.org
