Adding Life to Days

Event Volunteering Opportunities

Helping out at our events is an easy way to volunteer and support our work. You’ll be a part of a great team working together to raise valuable funds and awareness – and you’ll have lots of fun along the way!

Upcoming Opportunities

Vintage Fair and Fun Dog Show – Sunday 30th September – 9.30 – 3.30pm

Join us for our Vintage Fair and Dog Show, taking place in the hospice grounds. There’ll be plenty to get involved with on the day, including setting the event up and/or packing away, greeting visitors, serving refreshments and assisting with dog show registrations (where you’ll get to meet all of the lovely pooches taking part!)

Decathlon Half Marathon – Saturday 6th October – 11.30 am – approx 2.30pm

We’re looking for volunteers to make up the remaining 5 miles of a half marathon, alongside staff members of Decathlon, on a running machine at the front of the shop. If you’re a keen runner this can be completed by 1 volunteer doing the 5 miles, or it can be split between 2-3 volunteers. Then, when you’re not on the running machine, you’ll be able to cheer the other runners on and hold a bucket for customers to make donations.

Hoodwinked Farewell Event – Friday 12th October to Sunday 14th October

Take a walk through our illuminated garden to see the Hoodwinked Robins one last time and get exclusive viewing of two exciting new additions to the flock – never seen before! We’ll need you on hand to help us make this a magical and memorable experience for everyone who attends.

Friday 12th October: 4pm – 9.30pm

Saturday 13th October: 9.30 -4pm and 5pm – 9.30pm

Sunday 14th October:  9.30am – 3.30pm

Dracula Theatre Royal Nottingham – Bucket Collection Friday 12th October to Sunday 14th October

Completely reimagined by an exciting creative team from London’s West End, this iconic vampire thriller is an immersive production fit for the 21st century. Using the latest technology to create stunning illusions, spine chilling effects and breath-taking moments, combined with an atmospheric original score, this classic tale of obsession and horror will keep you on the edge of your seat. Join us for the bucket collection in the interval and you might even be able to watch the show too (if you’re brave enough!).

Friday 12th October 6.15pm – 10.30pm

Saturday 13th October 1.30pm – 5.30pm

Saturday 14th October 6.15pm – 10.30pm
