Volunteer with us – join the Big Purple Party street collections
Here’s a great opportunity to shout about Nottinghamshire Hospice’s work in your local community and contribute to our care by giving just a few hours of your day!
We’re holding street collections near our hospice shops during Purple Party Week and we need you to help make them a success. This is isn’t just standing there with a bucket for a few hours – it’s LOTS of fun, you can do it with friends and you’ll be chatting to intrigued passers-by about the great work Nottinghamshire Hospice does in their community.
As it’s Purple Party Week there’s an opportunity to have fun with your outfit too if you want; the more purple the better whether it’s a purple hat, wig, glasses, dress, trousers or all of those together!
Public collections are a great way of raising vital funds, awareness for the Hospice and let you make a make a real difference to people living with life-limiting illness. During the week we want to raise £23,000, which will provide one week of Hospice at Home care across the city and county. By joining us for a street collection you’ll be part of a team playing a huge part in achieving that goal.
Shifts are either 10am until 1pm or 1pm until 4pm and you’ll be based near to one of our shops, so you’ll have access to drinks, biscuits and other facilities.
Collections are taking place on the following dates/shop locations:
11th October – Radcliffe on Trent (Main Street)
12th October – Mapperley Shops (Woodborough Road)
14th October – Burton Joyce (Main Street)
14th October – Sutton in Ashfield
18th October – West Bridgford
