Senior Healthcare Assistant (HCA) Hospice in your Home – Hospice Night Support Team

38 hours per week over 4 nights (Monday – Sunday, usual shift pattern 9.45pm – 7.15am)

Salary: £18,831 per annum based 38 hours per working week (plus enhancements)

We are looking for an experienced HCA to join our dynamic, new community palliative care service, providing overnight care and support to patients and families at the end of life.

You will be passionate about delivering hands on care to patients in their homes. You will be a great team player. You will be able to prioritise your workload within an already busy service, delivering the highest standards of palliative care to people in their own homes.

The Hospice at Night service is leading the way in proving community based palliative care in Nottinghamshire, 365 nights a year.

You will work closely with the existing Hospice team and liaise confidently with the wider Out of Hours Community Health and Social Care Teams across the Greater Nottingham area. You will be supported by a comprehensive induction package, regular training/supervision and ongoing support.


  • Minimum NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in Health & Social Care
  • Full car driving licence and confident to drive at night (Hospice car provided)
  • Recent , relevant experience of community based  palliative care

The successful applicants will be subject to an enhanced DBS Check and must be eligible to work in the UK.
