Dying Matters Week – Online Death Cafe
Date: Wednesday 11th May
Are you in a good place to die?
Here at Nottinghamshire Hospice we want to encourage more people to talk about death and dying and Dying Matters awareness week is a great opportunity to do that.
Where people die is changing. More people than ever are dying at home, and the pandemic has accelerated this. Often, people don’t feel prepared and they haven’t fulfilled their wishes or communicated them to loved ones. Dying Matters Awareness week is a chance to bring people and partners together to break the stigma, challenge preconceptions and normalise public openness around death.
Join us at our online Death Cafe for a discussion on the importance of having conversations around bereavement.
There’ll be short discussions on the physical, emotional, financial, spiritual and digital elements of death and dying from Notts Hospice and the End of Life Care Team from Sherwood Forest Hospitals.
Although it’s not the ideal way to host a cafe and we’d much rather be inviting you into our beautiful building, there will be opportunities to ask questions and learn something new.
To register, please email firstname.lastname@example.org to get the Zoom link.
