Donate Don’t Dump
Hosting a collection drive is an inexpensive way for businesses to give to charity, help the environment and further their Corporate Social Responsibility.
The Donate Don’t Dump campaign was inspired by Mary Portas’ idea on the BBC programme Mary, Queen Of Charity Shops and the emphasis is on improving the quantity and quality of donations.
How this works:
On a designated day, a business will host a donations drive. Employees will be encouraged to bring into work good quality items they no longer want or need, which will later be collected by a Nottinghamshire Hospice representative or dropped off by a member of staff at their nearest Nottinghamshire Hospice shop.
These goods can then be sold through our Nottinghamshire Hospice charity shops to raise money to provide palliative care free of charge to adults in the Nottingham area, and respite and support to their carers.
We are always grateful for donations especially ladies’, men’s and children’s fashion. This initiative is an easy and fun way of getting more donations into stores, where they can be sold for maximum profit.
