Party in the Park promises a fun family day out
Nottinghamshire Hospice has teamed up with Park Lives to put on an extravaganza in Woodthorpe Grange Park as part of the Hoodwinked project.
Party in the Park takes place on Saturday 11 August and will see free activities including hula hooping, multi-sports, golf, bug box making and moreat the event that runs from 11am to 4pm.
There will also be fete games, community stalls, craft stands, music and entertainment as well as great food and more.
Sarah Dunning. Corporate Fundraiser for Nottinghamshire Hospices says: “Party in the Park is the perfect day out for all the family. Come along, take part in the activities and help us raise funds for Nottinghamshire Hospice at the same time.
“Every penny raised will go towards providing care for people with terminal or life-limiting illnesses in the last year of their lives and support for their carers and families.”
The family fun day is one of a series of events being put on as part of the Hoodwinked project which has seen 33 colourful robin sculptures sponsored by businesses and painted by local artists taking pride of place across the city during the summer. Nottinghamshire Hospice is the charity partner for Hoodwinked.
There will be a Hoodwinked information tent at the event with copies of the trail leaflet available and special robin templates will be handed out to children to colour in. It is also hoped that some of the Hoodwinked sponsor companies will have a presence on the day.
There are still spaces available for craft stalls and entertainers so any musicians, performers or crafters interested in taking part should contact firstname.lastname@example.org
