Volunteers needed for Hoodwinked trail collection
Nottinghamshire Hospice is seeking volunteers to help with bucket collections this weekend on the Hoodwinked art trail which goes live in the city centre on Saturday 7 July.
For 12 weeks this summer, a flock of quirky and colourful giant robin sculptures will take pride of place in Nottingham city centre, designed and painted by local artists and sponsored by Nottingham businesses.
At the end of the trail the robins will be auctioned off to raise funds for Nottinghamshire Hospice, the Hoodwinked charity partner.
Sarah Rice, volunteer services manager for Nottinghamshire Hospice says: “The trail going live is a perfect opportunity to raise awareness and funds for the hospice and we need volunteers to help us do this. If you fancy hanging out with a Hoodwinked robin for a couple of hours on Saturday or Sunday please get in touch.
“If you like art and you like meeting people this is a perfect opportunity to spend some time in the sunshine in the city centre chatting to members of the public who come out to explore the trail while helping our patients at the same time. Every penny raised will help us to provide crucial services for people with a terminal illness in their last year of life.”
To volunteer, fill in form below or get in touch with Sarah Rice 0115 9101 008 ext 202 or email firstname.lastname@example.org Training will be given and refreshments will be provided throughout the day.
Hoodwinked is led by Nottingham City Council in partnership with Wild in Art, a leading creative producer of spectacular free public art events through the creation of uniquely painted sculptures.
