We are beginning the search for a new Chair of Trustees, alongside several additional Trustee roles, as we look ahead to the next chapter of Nottinghamshire Hospice.

This follows the decision of our current Chair, Joanne Brunner, to retire later this year after almost nine years in the role. Joanne has also spent more than seventeen years working within the hospice sector and has made a significant contribution both locally and nationally.

These voluntary positions offer a unique opportunity to help shape the future of end-of-life care across Nottinghamshire, ensuring more people can receive compassionate, specialist support in the place they call home.

Our Trustees play a vital role in guiding our strategic direction, supporting strong governance and helping us respond to the needs of the communities we serve. With demand for hospice care continuing to grow, this is an important moment to bring new voices, skills and perspectives into our Board.

We are particularly keen to hear from people who share our values of compassion, trust and ambition, and who want to use their experience to make a meaningful difference. You do not need previous trustee experience. We welcome applications from people from a wide range of backgrounds.

As Chair of Trustees, you will lead our Board in making forward-thinking strategic decisions, champion innovation in care, and support us to continue delivering high-quality services free of charge to patients and families across Nottinghamshire.

As a Trustee, you will work closely with the Chair and wider Board, contributing to key decisions, offering constructive challenge, and helping to ensure we remain sustainable for the future.

Current Chair, Joanne, will remain in post until a successor is appointed, ensuring a smooth transition and continued stability.
