Dress head to mistle-toe in festive gear and complete a 2km or 5km route around the beautiful grounds of Wollaton Park all in aid of local hospice care.  

Whether you run, jog, walk or stroll, you are sure to have a jolly good time! 

Festive fun for the whole family – open to all ages and don’t forget your Santa Paws, dogs are welcome too!  

Every dasher will get a free Santa t-shirt to wear on the day plus festive goodies at the finish line!

Want to fully get in the festive spirit? You can add a Santa hat when booking, then make your outfit your own with tinsel, bells, glitter, antlers or your best Christmas fancy dress.
There will even be prizes for the best-dressed child and dog, so creativity is very much encouraged.

About Wollaton Park  

The Santa Dash will take place at Wollaton Park, an iconic and beautiful  Nottingham location. Both the 2km and 5km routes will go through the park’s woodland and around the scenic lake. The venue is accessible by public transport and has plenty of parking.

What are the route options? ❯

2km Route

Do I need to register in advance? ❯

Yes, you can register here

Can children walk or run on their own? ❯

Everyone under 16 must be accompanied by an adult at all times during the event and along the route. 

Can I bring my dog? ❯

Dogs are welcome but must be kept on a lead at all times.

How do I get my t-shirt and Santa Hat? ❯

T-shirts and Santa Hats will be available for collection on arrival at the event.

What shall I wear? ❯

Please wear sensible footwear and dress for the weather. You will be given a Santa t-shirt on arrival at the event but we would love to see everyone go fully festive and add your own accessories and Christmas costumes! 

Are there toilet facilities? ❯

Yes, there are toilets and baby changing facilities at various locations in Wollaton Park. 

Where can I park? ❯

There is ample parking available at Wollaton Park, you must pay for your parking on arrival.

Is the walking route accessible? ❯

Yes, the paths along the route are wheelchair and pushchair accessible with no stairs. However please note that some of the route is uphill and some of the terrain can be bumpy and may get muddy.  

 

What if I can’t complete the route? ❯

No problem! There will be volunteers and support staff to assist anyone who wants to rest or return early. However, there will be no vehicle assistance along the route. 

 

Will medical assistance be available? ❯

Yes,  St Johns Ambulance volunteers will be present throughout the event and there will also be first aid trained staff on site throughout the event. If you or someone you are with requires first aid or medical assistance, please inform a member of the team wearing a high-vis vest as soon as possible.  

 

Will photographs and videos be taken at the event? ❯

Yes. If you do not want to be in any photographs or videos, please let our staff know when you arrive. 

 

What happens if the weather is bad? ❯

We will monitor the weather closely leading up to the event and make the best decision for the safety of the attendees. Any updates will be shared on our website and social media channels, and communicated directly to registered attendees via email. 

What happens if the event is postponed or cancelled? ❯

If for any reason we did have to cancel the event all updates would be shared on our website and social media channels, and communicated directly to registered attendees via email as soon as possible.  

 

Why do you suggest participants raise a minimum sponsorship? ❯

Your entry fee covers the costs of running the event safely, but it’s your sponsorship money that really makes a difference. We are asking you to aim to raise £50 per dasher, to ensure that Nottinghamshire Hospice can continue to provide end-of-life care to the people who need it most. If you need any help or inspiration raising sponsorship, please get in touch at fundraising@nottshospice.org 

Will there be food and drink at the event?  ❯

There will be a selection of festive goodies at the finish line, plus cafes at Wollaton Park will be open during and after the event where you can purchase food and drink.
