Your Challenge. Their Care.
Every day, our care prevents three people at end-of-life being admitted to hospital. We enable them to stay at home to die, surrounded by the comfort and warmth of their loved ones and precious memories.
That only happens because of supporters like you.
Every step you take, every mile you run, every penny you raise helps us bring reassurance, comfort, and compassionate care to families in Nottinghamshire when it matters most.
Your Challenge Starts Here
We’re excited to be partnering with Nottingham Running Festival again this year! With a choice of 5k, 10k or Half Marathon distances, there’s a challenge for everyone.
Join ‘Team Notts Hospice’ and you’ll get:
- A special edition Notts Hospice x Nottingham Running Festival t-shirt (for the first 50 Notts Hospice Runners registered)
- A dedicated contact in the Fundraising Team who will be on hand with tips for your fundraising and encouragement to help you smash your fundraising target
- A Hospice Hero’s welcome on race day from our event team and epic cheer station volunteers
Whether you’re running in memory of a loved one, taking on a personal challenge, or part of a team from your workplace, with every pound raised and step taken you’ll be doing something amazing to support your local hospice.

I would highly recommend Nottingham Running Festival. The organisation on the day was great, with amazing support from the Hospice staff at various points cheering us all on.” — Rachel , 2025 Nottingham Running Festival Participant

The Care You’re Running For
Rachel, Christine and their huge team of 30 took on the 2025 Nottingham Running Festival in memory of their mum, Andrea, who died following an incurable diagnosis in 2024. The hospice stepped in when Andrea’s condition worsened and the family needed support to fulfil her wish of staying at home where she could be comfortable.
Rachel said, “The first people I spoke to from Nottinghamshire Hospice were Care Administration on the phones. I felt that they were the only people who listened to me. They reassured me that it was normal for my mum to have ups and downs, they put my mind at rest. I liked how talking to them didn’t feel clinical. When the palliative care assistants came, we will never forget how amazing they were. We had them for just two nights, but I remember how respectful they were. They were exceptional.”

Choose your distance. Join Team Notts Hospice.
Places are limited – secure yours today!
No matter which distance you choose, your challenge will help ensure more people like Andrea are able to stay at home at the end of their lives.
