Your Challenge. Their Care.

Someone is referred into our care every 5 hours.

When that happens, we work with families and other services to put the right support in place, helping people feel supported, cared for, and able to make choices at the end of life.

That only happens because of supporters like you.

Every step you take, every mile you run, every penny you raise helps us bring reassurance, comfort, and compassionate care to families in Nottinghamshire when it matters most.

Your Challenge Starts Here

The Robin Hood Half Marathon offers one of the most scenic and iconic city routes in the UK.

Starting and finishing at the Victoria Embankment by the River Trent, the route features a mix of sights and scenery – from Nottingham Castle and the famous Robin Hood statue to the peaceful paths of Wollaton Park.

The Care You’re Running For

Simon ran in the 2025 Robin Hood Half Marathon in memory of his step-mum, Maria. The family were supported by our Hospice in Your Home team to enable Maria to stay at home.

Simon said: “I wanted to raise funds for Nottinghamshire Hospice following the support they gave our family during an incredibly tough time.

When we started receiving overnight visits from the palliative nurses, it helped more than you can imagine. It helped my dad and sister to rest and recharge, to look after themselves and to deal with the difficult news we were all processing. Each of the carers I spoke to were so warm, friendly and really made us feel at ease, knowing that mum was in safe hands. I couldn’t believe when one lady told me that they were a charity, this type of care felt so essential.”
