Celebrate the life of someone special this summer

Notts Hospice Sunflower Appeal LOGO White

Remember your loved one through our Sunflower Appeal

This summer celebrate the life and legacy of your loved one by giving in their memory. Dedicate a sunflower to someone special and help us create a sunflower meadow of love and remembrance. Each sunflower will help more families across Nottinghamshire get the vital care and support they need.

Add a name, message, or a memory to our online Sunflower Meadow, and see it bloom in tribute alongside others. We will also add your message to a sunflower card to become part of a beautiful display at the hospice throughout June and July.

As a thank you for your donation, we will send you a packet of sunflower seeds to plant at home so you can watch them bloom this summer in celebration of the life of your loved one.

Your kindness will mean the world to a family facing the toughest of times.

Kimberly’s story: Remembering Mommar through our Sunflower Appeal

When Kimberly’s grandmother, Dorothy, received the devastating news that she had a brain tumour, Kimberly and her family did everything they could to care for her at home, where she wanted to be. But as Dorothy’s condition worsened, they struggled to care for her round the clock. When the family reached out, our hospice team responded quickly, providing overnight care and support.

“It was very important to my Mommar that she stayed at home because she loved the house, they had been there for over 20 years. She loved the garden and we could actually have her bed facing towards it.”

“Everything was done as she would have wanted it. She was comfortable and she was at home. We wouldn’t have been able to achieve that without the hospice’s help.”

Inspired by the kindness they were shown by Nottinghamshire Hospice, Kimberly and her family have chosen to support the Sunflower Appeal in Dorothy’s memory, so that other families can benefit from the same compassionate care they received.
