The difference your kind gift will make

Thanks to our compassionate care, John had a good death.

Margaret and John had been married for over 40 wonderful years, but then John began to suffer from multiple health problems. John had a lifetime fear of hospitals, so Margaret did as much as she could for him at home. However, in the last week of John’s life, Margaret was really struggling with the stress of looking after him. Their GP suggested Nottinghamshire Hospice could help. John was looked after at home by our trained, caring staff. He died, peacefully, surrounded by his family and home comforts.

Could you help others like John to have a peaceful death?

John and Margaret

I will forever be grateful to the caring, compassionate staff at Nottinghamshire Hospice. They treated John with dignity. What’s more, I could get some rest which was very much needed.

What type of gift can I leave in my Will?

Money

A fixed sum of money, large or small, would be appreciated. Please consider asking your solicitor to ensure your cash gift is index-linked so that it holds its value over the years.

Percentage

A share of your estate after other gifts, taxes and debts have been paid is the best option for Nottinghamshire Hospice, as your kind gift will not be reduced in value by inflation.

House

A specific gift is a particular item of value, such as a car or house. For example, a property sold for £240,000 could fund 20 whole days of care at Nottinghamshire Hospice.
