Have you ever considered working at Nottinghamshire Hospice but you don’t have experience in palliative care?

Time to think again!!!

Nottinghamshire Hospice offers staff the unique privilege to walk alongside patients and their families at this significant time of their lives while providing compassionate care and support. We deliver high-quality, excellent palliative care for patients across Nottinghamshire for those living with a life-limiting condition. We care for patients, families and their friends, both before and after death.

Most people are cared for in their own home & our goal is to help people make the most of their lives, in ways that are important to THEM. This care may sometimes include coming into the Hospice as part of our wellbeing and reablement offer.

You will work within a supportive multi-disciplinary team, in a professional service, making a real difference to the lives of patients and their families. Working in an environment where the patient is truly the centre of care, you will be part of a supportive and fun team where everyone is valued for their unique skills and experience. You do not need palliative care experience (although that would be great) as we offer a comprehensive induction package.

This role

Our Hospice at Home Team provides planned care to people in their own homes through the night (9 hr shifts). The post holder will work shifts across the week including weekends and bank holidays, on a planned rota basis.

What’s in it for you?

  • Time to care for your patients.
  • Making a real difference for the patient and family.
  • Work in an environment where the patient is truly the centre of care.
  • The opportunity to work in the patient’s home and with other professionals.
  • Be part of a supportive and fun team where everyone is valued for their unique skills and experience.
  • You do not need to have Palliative care experience.
  • Full and part time opportunities are available.

You must have Health Care Assistant experience and possess a minimum of NVQ 2 or equivalent. Support will be given to the postholder to develop their career ambitions.

Why you’ll love working here
