Charity Challenges

Your Challenge. Their Care.

Each year, we support 1 in 4 people who die across Nottinghamshire. Alongside caring for patients, we support families with guidance, reassurance and someone to turn to when things feel overwhelming.

That only happens because of supporters like you.

Our care is provided free of charge, but we still need to raise nearly £4 million every year to keep services running. Every mile you run, jump, or trek helps fund essential care, from Wellbeing support to Hospice in Your Home care and emotional support – bringing comfort and dignity when it matters most.

The Care You’re Supporting

Simon ran in the 2025 Robin Hood Half Marathon in memory of his step-mum, Maria. The family were supported by our Hospice in Your Home team to enable Maria to stay at home.

“I wanted to raise funds for Nottinghamshire Hospice following the support they gave our family during an incredibly tough time.

When we started receiving overnight visits from the palliative nurses, it helped more than you can imagine. It helped my dad and sister to rest and recharge, to look after themselves and to deal with the difficult news we were all processing. Each of the carers I spoke to were so warm, friendly and really made us feel at ease, knowing that mum was in safe hands. I couldn’t believe when one lady told me that they were a charity, this type of care felt so essential.”

Taking on a charity challenge will help us ensure more families like Simon’s have someone to turn to when things feel overwhelming.
